Aptuit, Inc. of US and Laurus Labs Limited together formed a contract drug development company, Aptuit Laurus, which combines Aptuit's global offerings in drug development with Laurus' R&D and manufacturing expertise and newly built state-of-the-art facilities. The combined company provides established and emerging pharmaceutical companies with integrated services, technologies and manufacturing capabilities that span the entire drug development continuum.

A venture founded by the ex- CEO of Maruti, Mr. Jagdish Khattar it's an independent, all-India, multi-brand auto sales and service network. The first phase of his ambitious project would involve a service and body shop network with an all-India footprint. Mr. Khattar is looking at a capex of around Rs 1,200-1,500 crore.

He is looking to set up a chain of multi brand auto distribution and services outlets, probably along the same lines of Auto Nation of the US ($19 billion in annual revenues), reports The Economic Times. His clientele will be the new multinational car makers coming to India such as Nissan, Renault, Volkswagen etc. His value proposition to these makers will be higher distribution and service reach to the end consumer at lower overheads such as real estate costs. The idea seems to be good since it does not make sense for multinational automakers to have their own distribution outlets and service stations in the entire country as they are unlikely to be a mass product like the way a Hyundai or Maruti is.
