Job Description

Principal Accountabilities:

- Primarily the achievement of the top line business development targets in the “Existing”, “New Business” or “New Program” areas covering the entire Asia pacific market.

- Sustaining the existing business assigned (Discovery, Functional Chemistry, Scale up business, Early Stage development strategy, 3rd party scouting and synthesis management, techno commercial support including client facing and BD support) by maintaining the existing relationships thereby further enhancing business with pharmaceuticals and biotechnology research organizations.

- MBOs, working with cross functional teams, supporting and developing teams, sharing expert knowledge on the operating territory, following organization processes and demonstrating commitment to the vision and values of the organization.

- Forging ties with leading Pharmaceutical companies in Discovery Portfolio, Biology (In Vitro and In vivo), Medicinal Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Informatics, Functional Chemistry and Scale-up synthesis

- Assisting the BD Senior Leadership team to forge ties with academic labs for continuous, value enhancing IP generation.

- Developing tactical plans for sustained, profitable near-term and long-term growth.

- Responsible for ensuring and supporting BD initiatives to achieve business targets in the areas as assigned by BD Senior Leadership.

- Responsible for ensuring delivery of programs in conjunction with the scientific leaders and ensuring high level of customer satisfaction.

Desired Candidate Profile
Someone with Business Development experience in Drug Discovery. Should have moved from a technical scientis role to a Business Development role.

- Ability to overview situations, review and evaluate, defining set plans to achieve business goals
