Job Description & Candidate Profile
Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems. Create an ecosystem of analytics tools for the Newsroom that consists of the existing tools and new tools that can be added to the mix.
Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports. Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Handle quantitative/qualitative analysis of PR and social media data, pulling key insights that ultimately help optimize brand strategy, support our agency initiatives or learn more about a brand’s target audience.
Conduct listening studies in order to identify key differentiation for brands among the competitive set.
Monitor PR coverage and consumer conversations on an ongoing basis to stay on top of potential opportunities or crises, while assisting the account teams in handling such scenarios.
Be adaptable to various software tools for measurement and social listening.
Evaluate software vendors and other digital partners whose offerings are essential to fulfilling our analytics capabilities.
Stay up to date on new social media tools, PR best practices and how other organizations and companies are using them, so that our clients can continue to be early adopters of practices/technologies
Seek out external learning opportunities, bringing back credible thinking and recommendations.
Graduation in any field
4-6 years’ experience in strategy/market research and/or marketing analytics.
Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
